JGM has been recognised for its commitment to social value after winning the Contribution to Social Value Award at the 2026 Robertson Supply Chain Outstanding Contribution Awards.
The award was presented at the Robertson Supply Chain Awards ceremony in Glasgow on Wednesday 23rd September, bringing together supply chain partners from across the UK to recognise their contribution to Robertson’s projects, customers and communities.
JGM was nominated by Robertson Group for the work carried out across apprenticeships, vocational education, community projects and charitable initiatives.
The nomination highlighted the opportunities JGM has created for local people, from apprentices beginning their careers in construction to students gaining an insight into the industry through work with schools and colleges. It also recognised the contribution made by our teams through community projects and fundraising activities.
For JGM, social value is not something that sits separately from our day-to-day work.
It is reflected in the opportunities we give people to start and develop their careers, the relationships we build with schools and colleges, the support our teams provide to local communities, and the time people give to charitable causes.
Our apprenticeship programmes are an important part of this. By bringing new people into the construction industry and supporting them as they develop their skills, we are helping build the next generation of the workforce.
Our teams also work with the schools and colleges to give students a better understanding of construction and the different career opportunities available within the industry.
JGM employees regularly support community initiatives and fundraising activities, bringing colleagues together to support causes that matter to them.
In construction, success if often measured by the projects we deliver – the buildings completed, the programmes achieved and the quality of the work on site.
Social value is different. Much of it happens alongside those projects and is built through the time, knowledge and effort people are willing to give.
Being recognised for this work by one of our key construction partners makes the award particularly meaningful.
