Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Engineer to join our growing Building Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of a wide range of commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across our client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems in accordance with maintenance schedules;
  • Diagnose faults and undertake reactive repairs on HVAC and associated mechanical building services equipment;
  • Service and maintain air conditioning systems including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF and heat pump systems;
  • Inspect, maintain and repair ventilation systems, air handling units, extract systems and associated plant;
  • Complete service reports, certification and documentation accurately using digital reporting systems;
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures;
  • Liaise professionally with clients, providing technical advice where appropriate;
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.

Skills & Competencies

Essential

  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems;
  • F-Gas Category 1 Certification. (In house training will be provided);
  • NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills;
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work;
  • Full UK Driving Licence;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience working within commercial buildings across sectors such as healthcare, education, retail and industrial;
  • IPAF and PASMA certifications;
  • Knowledge of BMS controls and HVAC control systems;
  • Experience using digital job management systems.
