This project comprised of a full renovation of outdated changing and shower facilities for the national team at BT Murrayfield. JGM were involved with the installation of modernised facilities, bespoke lighting and modern IT systems bringing the new space to life.
JGM undertook an Electrical installation consisting of new power systems, lighting, feature lighting and the individual seating booths for the players complete with integrated LED lighting. As well as this, installation of data systems and a door access system which is critical for player and official’s safety.
We also undertook a Mechanical installation comprised of the install of new shower facilities for the players after training, run-throughs and matches, ventilation and air-conditioning systems to ensure the players are as comfortable as possible before and after crucial matches. As well as this, we were also responsible for new plumbing to the shower and toilet areas of the new facility.
The facilities had to be finished to a high standard to reflect the on-field record of the team. The team have been on a massive journey in recent years and this changing room is a great reflection of the success they have had. JGM is proud to have played their part in helping the national team evolve even further.
Scotland team head coach Gregor Townsend had this to say about the new facilities.
“We’re excited about being in this changing room. From a coaching perspective it makes life much easier, we can have everyone in this horseshoe shape, with the screen where we can show clips at half time, pre-game, post-game. The players love it already, we’ve had a couple of sessions at BT Murrayfield using the new changing room, its got a really good feel about it”
